Punta Cana Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film

White sand, palm-lined beaches, warm turquoise water and evening receptions with your feet in the sand. A Punta Cana destination wedding brings your closest people to the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic for a weekend that feels like a holiday and a celebration at the same time. We have filmed a wedding there ourselves, and this guide covers what couples and their families should plan before the cameras arrive.

Why couples choose a Punta Cana destination wedding

Punta Cana has one of the busiest international airports in the Caribbean, with direct flights from Europe, North America and South America, which makes it easy for guests from several countries to arrive on the same weekend. Planners are seeing a few clear trends:

    • Whole-resort weekends. Families book a block of rooms, or an entire boutique property, so the welcome dinner, ceremony, reception and farewell brunch all happen in one place.
    • Private villas in gated communities. Cap Cana and nearby estates offer villas with their own beach access, staff and space for a private party.
    • Experiences for guests. Catamaran days, island trips and sunset cruises turn the wedding into a full week, and they give a film extra chapters beyond the ceremony.

For a film, that holiday rhythm is a gift. Guests are relaxed, the light is generous and every day of the weekend brings a new setting.

    Choosing your setting

    Cap Cana

Cap Cana is a private resort community with a marina, cliff-top viewpoints, golf and secluded beaches. It suits couples who want privacy, villas and a polished, upscale feel. A Cap Cana wedding film often moves between the marina, the beach and a villa terrace in a single afternoon.

    Bávaro and Punta Cana beach

The long stretch of Bávaro holds many of the large luxury resorts, with gazebos, beach terraces and ballroom options for big guest lists. It is the classic choice for a Dominican Republic beach wedding where everyone stays together.

    Uvero Alto and Macao

Further north, Uvero Alto and Macao feel wilder and quieter, with dramatic waves and fewer crowds. They suit couples who want a calmer, more intimate weekend and wide, empty beaches for portraits.

    When to plan your wedding

December to April is the dry season and the most popular time for weddings, with lower humidity and steady sunshine. The official Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with the highest risk usually from August to October. Many couples still marry in the shoulder months of May and November, but every outdoor plan should come with a covered backup, and travel insurance is worth discussing with your guests.

    Legal ceremony or symbolic ceremony?

Foreign couples can marry legally in the Dominican Republic through a civil ceremony. It usually involves passports, birth certificates and proof of single status, with documents legalised or apostilled and translated into Spanish, plus witnesses on the day. Requirements change, so confirm the latest list with your planner and your own consulate. Many couples choose to marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony on the beach, which gives complete freedom over the time, wording and setting.

Filming logistics for a luxury resort wedding in the Caribbean

A luxury resort wedding in the Caribbean needs a film plan as careful as the décor.

    • Resort vendor rules. Many resorts charge outside vendor fees or have their own policies for photographers and filmmakers. We confirm these early so there are no surprises in the final week.
    • Drone flights. Drones in the Dominican Republic need advance authorisation from the national civil aviation authority, and equipment can be held at customs without it. We plan permissions well ahead and never fly over guests.
    • Heat, wind and salt air. Midday sun is strong and the trade winds pick up in the afternoon. We schedule portraits for early morning and the last hour of light, plan wireless audio that can handle the breeze, and protect equipment from sand and salt.
    • Evening receptions. Beach dinners need planned lighting. We work with your planner so the sweetheart table, the dance floor and the first dance are lit beautifully on camera.

  • Australia Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film

Australia Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film

Harbour views, vineyard estates, rainforest hinterland and island resorts on the Great Barrier Reef. An Australia destination wedding can be a black-tie dinner overlooking Sydney Harbour, a long lunch among the vines in the Hunter Valley or a barefoot ceremony in the Whitsundays. This guide covers what couples and their families should plan before the cameras arrive, from the season to the paperwork.

Why couples choose an Australia destination wedding

Australia has become a serious choice for couples who want a wedding weekend that feels like a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Planners are seeing a few clear trends:

    • Wedding weeks, not weekends. Because guests travel so far, many couples plan a week of events, with welcome dinners, wine tastings, reef days and a farewell lunch around the main celebration.
    • Estate and vineyard venues. Private estates with accommodation let families host several events in one place and keep the party going late.
    • Food and wine as the centrepiece. Long-table dinners, local seafood and regional wines are now part of the guest experience rather than an afterthought.

For a film, that pace is ideal. Several days of events give the story room to breathe, from quiet mornings to a full dance floor.

    Choosing your region

    Sydney

Sydney offers harbour-front venues, grand ballrooms, private yachts and some of the most recognisable backdrops in the world. Couples looking for a luxury wedding videographer in Sydney usually plan a harbour or yacht sequence alongside the ceremony and reception.

    The Hunter Valley

About two to three hours’ drive north of Sydney, the Hunter Valley is known for vineyards, rolling hills and estate venues with guest rooms. A Hunter Valley wedding film leans into long afternoons, golden light across the vines and candlelit dinners.

    Byron Bay

Byron Bay pairs relaxed beach culture with luxury villas and hinterland estates. It suits couples who want a laid-back style with beautiful natural light.

    The Whitsundays

A Whitsundays wedding brings island resorts, white-silica beaches and boat trips on the Great Barrier Reef. It suits smaller guest lists who want a true island escape.

    Melbourne and the Yarra Valley

Melbourne brings city glamour, laneway dining and historic venues, with the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula close by for vineyard and coastal settings.

    When to plan your wedding

Remember that the seasons are reversed. Spring, from September to November, and autumn, from March to May, are the favourite wedding months in Sydney, Melbourne and the wine regions, with mild days and comfortable evenings. Summer can be very hot, and tropical Queensland has a wet season from roughly November to April, so the Whitsundays are most reliable from May to October. Popular venues book well ahead for spring and autumn Saturdays.

    Legal ceremony or symbolic ceremony?

Australia is one of the easier countries for overseas couples to marry legally, with no residency requirement. You work with an authorised marriage celebrant and lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month, and no more than 18 months, before the date. Overseas documents in another language need certified translations. Your celebrant and your own government can confirm how the marriage will be recognised at home. Some couples still prefer a symbolic ceremony for full freedom over the format.

Filming logistics for a luxury wedding in Australia

A luxury wedding in Australia needs a film plan as careful as the floral design.

    • Long travel days. Most guests arrive after long flights, so we plan quieter coverage for arrival days and save the big moments for when everyone is rested.
    • Drone flights. Drones fall under the national civil aviation rules, which limit height, keep drones away from people and restrict flights near airports, national parks and Sydney Harbour. Commercial flights are planned in advance with the right approvals and never over guests.
    • Strong sun. Australian light is bright and hard in the middle of the day, so portraits are planned for early morning, the last hour before sunset and blue hour.
    • Distances between regions. Australia is vast. If your week moves between Sydney and the reef, or the city and wine country, we schedule crew travel so nothing important is missed.

  • Spain Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Spain

Spain Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Spain

Long dinners under the stars, whitewashed courtyards, olive groves, Mediterranean coves and parties that are only getting started at midnight. A Spain destination wedding can be a finca weekend in Mallorca, a beach club celebration in Marbella, a sunset ceremony above the sea in Ibiza or a palace dinner in Seville. This guide covers what couples and their families should plan before the cameras arrive, from the season to the paperwork.

Why couples choose a Spain destination wedding

Spain has become one of Europe’s leading wedding destinations, and planners are seeing a few clear trends for 2026 and 2027:

    • Private estates. Restored fincas, cortijos and country houses let families host every event on one property, with guest rooms, gardens and space for a late party.
    • Late-night celebrations. Dinner often starts after nine and the dancing runs into the early hours, which gives a film a natural arc from golden afternoon to candlelit night.
    • Food as an event. Live paella stations, jamón carving, sherry and cava tastings and long family-style tables are becoming part of the experience rather than a side note.

For a film, that rhythm is a gift. A Spanish wedding weekend moves through warm daylight, blue hour and candlelight, and every change in light gives the story a new chapter.

An arched courtyard scene from our concept film The Secret of Flamenco

    Choosing your region

    Mallorca

Mallorca is home to some of Spain’s most sought-after wedding fincas, set among almond trees and stone terraces, with the Tramuntana mountains and the old town of Palma close by. A Mallorca wedding videographer will often plan a sea or boat element alongside the estate itself.

Marbella and the Costa del Sol

A Marbella destination wedding combines luxury hotels, beach clubs and hillside villas with easy flights into Málaga. It suits large guest lists who want a glamorous, resort-style weekend.

    Ibiza

Beyond its party reputation, Ibiza offers quiet villas, cliff-top terraces and some of the best evening light in the Mediterranean. An Ibiza wedding film usually leans into sunset ceremonies, relaxed styling and a long night of music.

    Seville, Granada and Andalusia

Inland Andalusia brings palaces, tiled patios, orange trees and arched courtyards. It is a natural choice for couples drawn to architecture and history, and the courtyards make beautiful, shaded sets for portraits.

    Barcelona and Catalonia

Barcelona pairs city glamour with nearby vineyards, coastal towns and historic estates on the Costa Brava, so a weekend can move easily between city, wine country and sea.

    When to plan your wedding

May, June, September and early October are the favourite months across most of the country, with warm days, long evenings and comfortable nights. July and August are the busiest months on the islands and coasts, while inland Andalusia can become extremely hot in high summer, so ceremonies there are best scheduled for the evening. Book key venues well ahead for peak dates, and plan a shaded or covered option for the ceremony whichever month you choose.

    Legal ceremony or symbolic ceremony?

A legal civil marriage in Spain is difficult for couples who live abroad. The civil registry generally requires at least one partner to be resident in Spain, along with apostilled documents, sworn Spanish translations and a lead time of several months. That is why most destination couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Spain, which gives them complete freedom over the setting, the time of day and the wording of their vows. Your planner and your own consulate can confirm what applies to you.

Filming logistics for a luxury wedding in Spain

A luxury wedding in Spain needs a film plan as careful as the floral design.

    • Venue rules. Estates often have music curfews, especially for outdoor parties, and some have their own vendor policies. We review these early and plan the party coverage around them.
    • Drone flights. Drones in Spain fall under European and national aviation rules, and many coastal areas sit close to airports or protected zones. Flights are planned in advance with the right permissions and are always flown beside or beyond the guests.
    • Heat and light. Midday sun is intense, so portraits are planned for the early morning, the last hour before sunset and blue hour. Courtyards and arcades give us soft shade in between.
    • Long days. With dinners starting late and parties running past midnight, we plan crew schedules so the energy of the last dance is covered as well as the first look.

  • Jamaica Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Jamaica

Jamaica Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Jamaica

Warm water, reggae drifting across the lawn, cliffs that glow at the end of the day and resorts that know how to host a full wedding weekend. A Jamaica destination wedding can be a beachfront ceremony for two hundred guests, a cliffside dinner in Negril or a private villa celebration in the hills above Montego Bay. We have filmed a destination wedding in Jamaica, and this guide shares what couples and their families should plan before the cameras arrive.

Why couples choose a Jamaica destination wedding

Jamaica has been a favourite Caribbean wedding island for decades, and the way couples celebrate there keeps evolving. Planners are seeing a few clear trends for 2026 and 2027:

    • Villa weekends. Private estates with staff, chefs and their own beach access let families host every event in one place, away from resort crowds.
    • Island flavour. Jerk stations at the late-night party, steel pan or live reggae at cocktail hour and tropical florals grown on the island are replacing generic styling.
    • Longer celebrations. Welcome dinners, catamaran cruises, waterfall excursions and farewell brunches turn the trip into a true holiday for guests.

Every one of those moments is story for a film. A weekend with several events gives us more than a ceremony and a reception to work with, and the island itself brings colour to every frame.

Jamaica destination wedding film still: the bride's bouquet of blush and ivory roses, from our destination wedding film in Jamaica
The bridal bouquet on the morning of Sanjay + Semira's wedding, filmed by us in Jamaica

    Choosing your region

    Montego Bay

Most international guests land at Sangster International Airport, which makes a Montego Bay destination wedding the easiest option for a large guest list. The coast east and west of the city is lined with luxury resorts, golf estates and historic great houses that work beautifully for a rehearsal dinner.

    Negril

Negril offers two very different looks. Seven Mile Beach is long, calm and ideal for a barefoot ceremony, while the West End cliffs give dramatic evening light over the sea. A Negril beach wedding film often moves from sand in the afternoon to the cliffs for portraits.

    Ocho Rios and Port Antonio

Ocho Rios is known for waterfalls, rivers and lush gardens, and Port Antonio, further east, feels quieter and greener, with secluded villas and lagoons. Both suit couples who want a setting that feels less like a resort and more like a private escape.

    When to plan your wedding

December to April is the dry season and the most requested window, with lower humidity and reliable weather. The official Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with the highest risk usually from August to October. Many couples are happy with May or early June for lower rates, but whatever month you choose, plan a covered backup for the ceremony and recommend travel insurance to your guests.

The legal side of a Jamaica wedding

Jamaica is one of the simpler Caribbean islands for a legal marriage. Couples who live abroad must be on the island for at least 24 hours before the ceremony, and the marriage licence should be arranged in advance, ideally a couple of weeks before the date. You will typically need birth certificates showing your father’s name, valid photo identification and, where it applies, proof of divorce or a former spouse’s death certificate. Documents not in English need certified translations, and no blood test is required. A licensed marriage officer performs the ceremony, and the official certificate is issued afterwards through the Registrar General’s Department. Requirements can change, so your planner or the relevant authorities should confirm what applies to you.

Filming logistics for a Jamaica wedding videographer

The best Jamaica wedding videographer plans logistics as carefully as the creative side.

    • Resort and villa rules. Many properties have policies on outside vendors, ceremony times, music curfews and equipment. We review them early so nothing surprises you on the day.
    • Drone permissions. Drone flights in Jamaica are regulated by the civil aviation authority, and permission is needed in advance, especially near airports and resorts. Aerial shots are planned beside or beyond the guests, never directly over them.
    • Sun, wind and salt. Midday light is harsh and sea breezes carry sand and salt. We plan portraits for early morning or the last hour of the day, protect lenses on the beach and use wireless microphones that capture vows clearly over the waves.
    • Moving between events. Waterfall excursions, boat days and cliffside dinners all need transport and timing, so we map the schedule and crew positions before we arrive.

  • Mexico Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Mexico

Mexico Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Mexico

Turquoise water, white sand, resorts built for big celebrations and a short flight from many parts of the world. A Mexico destination wedding can be a three-day weekend for two hundred guests on the Caribbean coast, a cliffside dinner above the Pacific in Los Cabos, or a small gathering in the jungle near Tulum. We have filmed destination weddings in Mexico, and this guide shares what couples and their families should plan before the cameras arrive.

Why couples choose a Mexico destination wedding

Mexico has been one of the most popular wedding destinations in the world for years, and the way couples celebrate there keeps changing. Planners are seeing three clear trends for 2026 and 2027:

    • Full wedding weekends. Welcome dinners with live music, yacht days, guest excursions and farewell brunches turn the trip into a holiday rather than a single event.
    • Local character. Regional menus, local musicians and décor that suits the setting are replacing generic resort styling.
    • One strong focal point. Instead of decorating every corner, couples are choosing a single dramatic backdrop or floral installation and letting the sea or the jungle do the rest.

All three are good news for a film. More events mean more story, and a setting that is allowed to breathe looks better on screen.

Mexico destination wedding film still: the wedding procession arriving through the resort grounds, from our destination wedding film in Mexico
The wedding procession arriving through the resort at Anisha + Kushal's destination wedding, filmed by us in Mexico

    Choosing your region

    Cancún and the Riviera Maya

The Caribbean coast is home to the large all-inclusive and luxury resorts that can host a whole wedding weekend on one property: ballrooms, beach ceremony sites, pools and enough rooms for every guest. For a large guest list, this is usually the simplest choice.

    Tulum

A Tulum wedding film has a different look: jungle venues, cenotes, beach clubs and boutique hotels with natural textures. Guest counts are often smaller, and transport between venues needs more planning.

    Los Cabos

A Los Cabos destination wedding sits on the Pacific side, with cliffside resorts, desert landscapes and dramatic sunsets over the ocean. Winter also brings whale season, which can give a boat day or a cocktail hour an unforgettable backdrop.

    When to plan your wedding

Mid-November to April is the dry season across the main wedding regions and the most requested window. On the Caribbean side, June to November is hurricane season, and seaweed can arrive on some east-facing beaches between spring and early autumn. Los Cabos is usually at its best from October to June. Whatever month you choose, build in a covered backup for the ceremony and travel insurance for the guests.

    Legal ceremony or symbolic ceremony?

Only a civil ceremony performed by the civil registry is legally binding in Mexico. It requires apostilled documents translated into Spanish, witnesses and a few days in the country before the ceremony, and the rules differ from state to state. That is why many couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Mexico, which gives them complete freedom over the time, setting and wording. Your planner can confirm what applies to you.

Filming logistics for a Mexico wedding videographer

The best Mexico wedding videographer plans logistics as carefully as the creative side.

    • Resort rules. Many resorts have their own policies on outside vendors, ceremony times, music curfews and equipment. We review these early so nothing surprises you on the day.
    • Drone permits. Commercial drone flights are regulated by the federal aviation authority, and protected beaches, archaeological zones and the resort itself may each need to give permission. Aerial shots are planned from the side or from the water, never directly over guests.
    • Heat and light. Midday sun is strong. We plan portraits for the early morning or the last hour before sunset, and keep the crew and couple out of the harshest light.
    • Moving between events. Multi-day weekends often use several spaces on one property, so we map the schedule and crew positions in advance.

Often, yes. The operator must be registered for commercial flights, and the resort, local authorities and any protected areas must allow it. Aerial shots are flown beside or beyond the guests, not over them.

Should we choose Los Cabos, Tulum or the Riviera Maya?

The Riviera Maya suits large guest lists on one resort, Tulum suits smaller celebrations with a natural, boutique feel, and Los Cabos offers cliffside Pacific views and winter whale season.

  • Portugal Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Portugal

Portugal Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Portugal

Palaces in the hills above Lisbon, wine estates terraced along a river, golden cliffs on the Atlantic and a long, mild season. A Portugal destination wedding can be a palace celebration in Sintra, a weekend at a vineyard estate in the Douro Valley or a coastal party in the Algarve. Each version shapes the film in a different way, and this guide helps couples and their families plan before the cameras arrive.

Film Style Weddings has not yet filmed a wedding in Portugal, so this is a planning guide built on what we have learned filming destination weddings in Mexico, Jamaica and Punta Cana, and our concept film in Paris.

Portugal destination wedding film inspiration: a member of the wedding party holding a white parasol in a garden, from our destination wedding film in Jamaica
A garden moment with a white parasol from Sanjay + Semira's destination wedding, filmed by us in Jamaica

Why couples choose a Portugal destination wedding

Portugal has become one of Europe’s most requested wedding destinations, and the 2026 trends explain why:

    • Weekend-long celebrations. A welcome party, a family dinner, the wedding day and a farewell brunch, often at one estate that can be booked exclusively.
    • Place-led weddings. Couples are choosing the venue first and letting the palace, the vineyard or the coastline set the style, rather than covering it with décor.
    • Value at the top end. Luxury hotels and estates often cost less than comparable venues in France or Italy, which lets couples spend more on guest experiences and on the film.

    Choosing your region

    Lisbon and Sintra

A Lisbon destination wedding gives guests a capital city to explore between events, with elegant hotels and riverside venues. Half an hour away, Sintra’s forested hills hold palaces, historic estates and gardens. A Sintra palace wedding suits couples who want grand architecture, frescoed rooms and courtyards on screen.

    The Douro Valley

A Douro Valley quinta wedding takes place at a wine estate above terraced vineyards and the river. Many quintas are intimate, with limited rooms, so they suit smaller guest lists. Vineyard ceremonies, wine tastings and long dinners on the terrace give a film a warm, slow rhythm.

    The Algarve

The southern coast has cliffs, sea caves, beaches and large resorts, with the longest warm season in the country. For a bigger guest list, an Algarve wedding videographer can plan coverage across a resort, a beach and a boat day without long transfers.

    Comporta, the Alentejo and Madeira

Comporta’s rice fields and dunes, the large country estates of the Alentejo and the dramatic scenery of Madeira are popular with couples who want something quieter or more remote.

    When to plan your wedding

The main season runs from May to October, with June and September especially popular for warm days without peak summer crowds. Inland areas like the Douro can be hot in midsummer, and the Atlantic coast can be breezy, so plan shaded spaces for guests and a backup for an outdoor ceremony. Spring and early autumn also give softer light for portraits.

    The legal side

Foreign couples can marry legally in Portugal without being residents. The civil registry asks for passports, birth certificates, a certificate showing you are free to marry, apostilles and certified translations, and some documents must be recent when you file. Many couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Portugal instead, which gives them full freedom over the time and setting. Your planner can confirm what applies to you.

    Filming logistics in Portugal

    • Room count and transport. Small quintas can’t sleep every guest, so events may spread across several addresses. We map transfers and the schedule so the crew is in place before each event.
    • Venue rules. Palaces and historic estates often limit equipment, lighting and filming areas. We review these early.
    • Drone flights. Drones need permission from the aviation authority, and many historic sites, protected areas and zones near airports have their own restrictions. We plan aerials only where they are allowed.
    • Light. Golden hour over the vineyards or the Atlantic is ideal for portraits, so we build it into the timeline.

  • Santorini Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Greece

Santorini Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in Greece

Few places look as cinematic as Santorini. White villas stacked along the cliffs, blue domes, a sea that changes colour through the day and a caldera that drops straight into the Aegean. A Santorini destination wedding can be an intimate vow exchange for a handful of guests, a weekend in a private cliffside villa, or a larger celebration at a winery or hotel on the island. Each version needs careful planning before the cameras roll, and this guide walks couples and their families through it.

Film Style Weddings has not yet filmed a wedding in Santorini, so this is a planning guide built on what we have learned filming destination weddings by the sea in Jamaica, Punta Cana and Mexico.

Santorini destination wedding film inspiration: a seaside ceremony under a white canopy, from our destination wedding film in Jamaica
A seaside ceremony from Sanjay + Semira's destination wedding, filmed by us in Jamaica

Why couples choose a Santorini destination wedding

Two trends for 2026 meet on the island. Couples are choosing smaller guest lists, often between ten and thirty people, and spending more on hospitality, food and experiences. Santorini suits that approach well: guests can arrive for a welcome dinner, spend a day on the water, attend the wedding at sunset and end with a long farewell lunch.

Planners also report a move toward simple, natural décor that lets the setting lead: white linen, olive branches, local flowers and candlelight. Winery venues, menus built on island produce and wine, and live acoustic music are popular. For a film, that restraint is a gift. The scenery already does the heavy lifting, so the camera can stay close to the people.

When to plan your Santorini destination wedding

    May, June and September

The season runs roughly from May to October. June and September are the favourites: warm days, calmer crowds than midsummer and soft evening light. Venues for these months often book a year or more in advance.

    July and August

High summer brings the most sunshine but also the heaviest crowds, the highest prices and strong afternoon winds on some days. If you choose these months, plan portraits for the early morning and keep a sheltered backup for the ceremony.

    October

Early October can still be beautiful, with warm sea temperatures and fewer visitors. Some venues and suppliers start to close later in the month, so confirm dates early.

    Legal steps and ceremony options

A civil wedding on the island is handled by the municipality’s civil weddings office in Fira. Each partner usually needs a valid passport, a full birth certificate and a certificate of no impediment, with documents apostilled and officially translated into Greek. Some documents must be issued within a few months of the wedding, and the licence is normally issued about a week after the application. Most planners suggest allowing eight to ten weeks for the paperwork.

Many couples prefer to marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Santorini, which gives total freedom over the time, place and wording. Your planner can confirm the current requirements for your nationality.

Filming rules and drone limits in Santorini

Whoever you choose as your Santorini wedding videographer, the logistics should be planned alongside the creative ideas.

    • The caldera villages are no-fly zones. Drone flights over Fira, Oia and Imerovigli are restricted, and the archaeological sites are off limits. Areas near the airport need a buffer as well.
    • Approvals take time. Drone operators must be registered with the Greek civil aviation authority, and flights in controlled zones need approval at least five working days ahead. For a luxury wedding in Greece, aerial footage is often more realistic at a private villa, a winery away from the caldera rim, or from a boat.
    • Crowds shape the schedule. Oia at sunset is one of the busiest viewpoints in Europe. Sunrise portraits, private terraces and boat shoots give you the views without the crowds.
    • Steps and cobblestones matter. Many cliffside venues are reached by long staircases, which affects how guests arrive, how dresses are carried and how much equipment the crew can bring.

A ceremony moment by the water from our Jamaica destination wedding film

Choosing a setting for a Santorini caldera wedding

A Santorini caldera wedding usually takes place at a cliffside hotel, a private villa with a terrace, or a dedicated venue with views across the water. Wineries in the south and centre of the island offer more space and a softer, rural look. A yacht or catamaran can host a sunset cruise for a small group or an intimate vow exchange at sea. Most multi-day celebrations combine two or three of these settings, so transport between them should be planned with the film schedule in mind.

How we would plan a Greece destination wedding film

A Greece destination wedding film follows our usual process: a full itinerary, venue walk-throughs or scouting, a drone and permit plan, then a crew sized to the events. Our destination wedding film guide explains each step, and our multi-day wedding film guide covers longer celebrations. Many couples also add a same day edit for the reception. • Paris Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in France

Paris Destination Wedding: Planning a Luxury Wedding Film in France

Paris needs no introduction as a setting for love stories. The boulevards, the bridges over the Seine, the gardens and the grand hotels have all been filmed countless times, and yet a couple’s own story there still feels new. A Paris destination wedding can be an intimate dinner for twenty in a private salon, a full weekend in a palace hotel, or a celebration that moves out to a château in the countryside. Each version asks for careful planning before the cameras roll. This guide walks couples and their families through it.

Paris destination wedding film inspiration: a couple walking hand in hand on the Champ de Mars, from our concept film Remembering Paris
From our concept film Remembering Paris, filmed in Paris

Why couples choose a Paris destination wedding

Two trends for 2026 meet in Paris. Couples are choosing smaller guest lists with a higher level of hospitality, and they want a celebration that feels like a story rather than a single evening. Paris suits both: guests can arrive for a welcome dinner, spend a day exploring, attend the wedding, and end the weekend with a farewell lunch, all within a short drive.

For a film, Paris offers variety in a compact space. Stone facades, wrought-iron balconies, café terraces and the soft grey light of the city give every scene a recognisable look. The challenge is that much of that beauty is public, so the plan needs to respect how the city manages filming.

When to plan your Paris destination wedding

    Spring and early summer

May and June are the most popular months. Days are long, gardens are in bloom and the evenings are usually mild. They are also busy, so hotels and venues book early.

    September and October

Early autumn is a favourite with planners: the light turns warm, the city is lively after the summer break, and the weather is often settled. August can be quieter in the city, but some restaurants and suppliers close for holidays.

    Winter

Winter in Paris is grey and cold, but it has its own atmosphere. Our concept film Remembering Paris was shot in winter, with bare trees, wet paths and coats and scarves, and the mood became part of the story.

    Legal steps and ceremony options

A civil marriage in France takes place at the town hall and requires that one partner, or a parent, has a lasting link to that town, such as a home there or at least a month of continuous residence before the banns are published. For most couples travelling from abroad, that rules out a legal wedding in Paris. Many marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Paris, at a hotel, a private mansion or a château. Your planner can confirm the current requirements for your nationality.

Filming permits and drone rules in Paris

This is where Paris differs from most destinations. Whoever you choose as your luxury wedding videographer in Paris, the paperwork should be planned alongside the creative ideas.

    • Small street shoots need notice. The city asks small crews filming on streets and bridges to send an advance notice about a week ahead.
    • Parks, riverbanks and monuments need a permit. Filming in gardens, on the banks of the Seine or inside city buildings needs a permit through the city’s filming platform, applied for about three weeks ahead. Famous sites such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre are managed separately and must be contacted directly.
    • Drones are banned without special approval. Drone filming in Paris is prohibited unless the Police Prefecture grants an exemption to an authorised professional operator, with at least ten business days’ notice and a closed flight area. For a wedding, this is rarely practical.
    • People have image rights. French law protects a person’s right to their image, so a crew keeps recognisable strangers out of the frame or gets consent.

Early morning portraits, before the crowds arrive, are often the simplest and most beautiful way to film the city’s landmarks.

Paris destination wedding planning guide: a smiling portrait in a Paris park, from our concept film Remembering Paris
A portrait from Remembering Paris, our concept film shot in the city

Beyond the city: a château wedding in France

Many couples combine a few days in Paris with a château wedding in France in the countryside, where a private estate can host every event and drone footage is more realistic with the owner’s permission and the right authorisations. Distances matter: some estates are an hour from the city, others two or more, so guest transport and the crew’s schedule should be planned together.

Paris elopement film and concept films

Not every Paris story needs a large guest list. A Paris elopement film, or a concept film shot before or after the wedding, lets a couple tell their story in the city with a small crew and a flexible schedule. Our concept film work, including Remembering Paris, shows how a few days in the city can become a short film with its own script and music.

Film Style Weddings has filmed in Paris, as well as weddings in Mexico, the United Kingdom, India, Nigeria, Punta Cana and Jamaica. FAQ

What is the best time of year for a Paris destination wedding?

May, June and September are the most popular, with mild weather and long evenings. Winter is quieter and can be very atmospheric on film.

Can foreign couples marry legally in Paris?

Usually only if one partner or a parent has a lasting link to the town, such as a home or a month of residence. Most couples from abroad marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Paris.

  • Lake Como Destination Wedding: Planning Your Wedding Film in Italy

Lake Como Destination Wedding: Planning Your Wedding Film in Italy

Few places look as much like a film set as Lake Como. Villas step down to the water, gardens climb the hillsides, and the Alps sit in the distance behind villages like Bellagio, Varenna and Tremezzo. It is no surprise that a Lake Como destination wedding remains one of the most requested celebrations in Europe. It also has its own rhythm: boats instead of roads, strict quiet hours, and venues booked well over a year ahead. This guide covers what couples and their families should plan so the film matches the setting.

Lake Como destination wedding planning guide: a bride getting ready with her bridesmaids, from Franky and Neema's destination wedding film
Franky + Neema, getting ready from their destination wedding film in Mexico

Why Lake Como leads the list for a luxury wedding in Italy

Wedding trends for 2026 favour celebrations that feel like a private retreat: fewer guests, a higher standard of hospitality, and a weekend of events rather than a single evening. Lake Como fits that brief well. A luxury wedding Italy itinerary here often runs over three days, with a welcome aperitivo on a terrace, a ceremony in a villa garden, a dinner on the water’s edge and a farewell lunch reached by boat.

For a film, that spread of settings is the real advantage. Morning light on the water, cypress-lined paths and lantern-lit dinners give every chapter its own look.

When to plan your Lake Como destination wedding

    The main season

Most villas host weddings from about April to October. June and September are the months planners recommend most: the weather is reliable, the gardens are full, and the evening light is warm and soft. July and August are the hottest and busiest months, with the highest rates and the most visitors in the villages.

    The shoulder months

May and early October can cost less and feel calmer, and the light in October is beautiful for portraits. The trade-off is cooler evenings, a greater chance of rain, and some properties beginning to close for the winter. A covered or indoor plan matters in any month, but it matters more at either end of the season.

    How far ahead to book

The best-known villas and hotels are often reserved 18 to 24 months ahead for peak weekends. If you have a specific venue in mind, secure it first, then build the rest of the team, including the film crew, around that date.

    Villas, boats and logistics

Choosing a Lake Como villa wedding venue

A Lake Como villa wedding can mean a grand lakefront hotel with hundreds of guests, a historic villa with formal gardens, or a private estate for a smaller group. Each one shapes the film differently. Large hotels keep ballrooms and terraces close together. Historic villas often have rules about where guests, equipment and lighting can go, so a walk-through, in person or by video call, is worth doing early.

    Getting around by water

Some of the most beautiful properties are easiest to reach by boat, and guests are often spread across several hotels on different shores. Private boats and water taxis become part of the schedule, and for the film they can be a highlight: the arrival by water, the couple alone on a launch at golden hour, guests crossing to dinner. They take time, so the timeline should allow for every crossing.

    Noise curfews and timing

Many lakeside towns enforce quiet hours from around 11pm or midnight, and some venues require amplified music to end earlier or move indoors. Planning the speeches, first dance and key reception moments before that cut-off keeps the most important footage from being rushed. A same day edit shown at dinner should be scheduled with the curfew in mind too.

Lake Como destination wedding film inspiration: a groom kisses his bride during the ceremony, from Franky and Neema's destination wedding film

Drone rules for a Lake Como wedding videographer

Aerial shots of a villa and the lake are often near the top of the wish list, and Italy allows them under clear conditions. Italy applies the European drone rules through ENAC, its civil aviation authority. In practice, a Lake Como wedding videographer flying a drone needs to:

    • Register on D-Flight, Italy’s drone portal, and display the operator code on the aircraft.
    • Hold the right pilot certificate for the drone’s weight class, and carry third-party liability insurance that meets ENAC requirements.
    • Never fly over gathered guests. A ceremony counts as an assembly of people, so aerial shots are planned before guests arrive or from a safe distance.
    • Check the airspace and the venue. Some zones are restricted, seaplanes use the water near Como, and many villas and gardens ban drones or require their own written approval.

Raising aerial plans with the venue at booking avoids disappointment later.

Building an Italy destination wedding film

A weekend at the lake is best told as one story. Our approach to an Italy destination wedding film follows the same plan we use everywhere: a full itinerary first, then a crew sized to the number of events, then a schedule built around the light. Our multi-day wedding film guide explains how several days become one feature, and our cinematic wedding film guide covers story, sound and pacing.

Film Style Weddings has not yet filmed at Lake Como, so this guide is about planning. We have filmed weddings in Mexico, the United Kingdom, India, Nigeria, Punta Cana, Jamaica and Paris. For a destination weekend we have filmed, see Franky + Neema in Mexico. FAQ

What is the best month for a Lake Como destination wedding?

June and September are the most popular, with reliable weather and soft evening light. May and early October can be calmer and cost less, but evenings are cooler and some venues start to close.

Can we marry legally at Lake Como?

Foreign couples can hold a civil wedding in Italy, but it involves documents from your home country and the local town hall, and the rules depend on your nationality. Many couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony at the lake. Your planner can confirm the current steps.

Can our Lake Como wedding film include drone footage?

Usually, yes, within limits. The pilot must be registered and insured under ENAC rules, cannot fly over gathered guests, and needs the venue’s permission, which some villas refuse.

How many days should the film crew plan for?

Most Lake Como weddings run over two or three days. We plan coverage around the full itinerary, from the welcome evening to the farewell, as part of a Destination collection.

  • Zanzibar Destination Wedding: Planning Your Wedding Film in Tanzania

Zanzibar Destination Wedding: Planning Your Wedding Film in Tanzania

Tanzania has become one of the most talked-about places for a wedding abroad. Couples are drawn by the white beaches and warm, clear water of Zanzibar, the old streets of Stone Town, and the chance to add a safari in the Serengeti before or after the celebration. A Zanzibar destination wedding can be an intimate gathering of thirty guests at a private villa or a full weekend for several hundred at a beachfront resort. Either way, the film you take home depends on planning that starts long before anyone lands. This guide covers what couples and their families should think about.

Zanzibar destination wedding planning guide: wedding rings from Anisha and Kushal's destination wedding film
Anisha + Kushal, from their destination wedding film in Mexico

Why couples are choosing a luxury wedding in Tanzania

Wedding trends for 2026 point in two directions at once: smaller, more personal guest lists with a higher standard of hospitality, and longer celebrations that turn a wedding day into a wedding week. Tanzania suits both. A luxury wedding Tanzania itinerary often combines a welcome dinner in Stone Town, a beach ceremony on the north coast of Zanzibar, and a few days on safari for the couple or the whole family.

For a film, that variety is a gift. Few weddings move through a historic town, an island beach and the plains of East Africa in one week, though that means more travel days and permits.

When to plan a Zanzibar destination wedding

    The dry seasons

Zanzibar has two main dry windows. June to October is the most reliable, with clear skies and calm water. December to February is hotter but still dry. Both book up early at the best resorts and villas.

    The rains

The long rains, roughly March to May, bring heavy downpours and some resort closures, and most planners advise against a beach ceremony in those months. The short rains around November usually arrive as brief showers, which can work with a good indoor or covered plan.

    Light near the equator

Zanzibar sits close to the equator, so the sun sets at almost the same time all year and the soft evening light does not last long. A Zanzibar wedding videographer will time the ceremony, the portraits and the first moments of the reception around that short window, rather than leaving it to chance.

    Beaches, tides and venues

Not every Zanzibar beach behaves the same way. On parts of the east coast the tide goes out a long way, leaving wide sand flats for hours, while the north of the island is less affected. If your ceremony faces the water, the tide table for your date matters as much as the weather forecast, and the planner, venue and film crew should all be working from it.

Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers carved wooden doors, rooftop terraces and narrow lanes that look wonderful on camera. Filming in public spaces there calls for respect for local customs: covered shoulders and knees are expected in town, and a crew should plan where and when to film with the venue and planner.

    Drones and permits in Tanzania

Aerial shots of a reef or a beach ceremony are often near the top of a couple’s wish list, so it is worth knowing the rules early.

    • Every drone flight needs a permit. The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority asks visiting operators to apply for an import permit, register the drone and pilot, and obtain an operations permit at least three weeks before arrival. A drone that arrives without an import permit can be confiscated at the airport.
    • Permits are tied to locations. Filming at a new site may need its own approval or an amendment.
    • National parks have extra rules. Flying in a park needs further approvals, a ranger present, and in the Serengeti, no flights during river crossings.

Starting this paperwork as soon as the venues are set protects the shots you want most.

Adding a Serengeti safari wedding or session

A Serengeti safari wedding, or a couples’ session on safari after the main celebration, is one of the most cinematic additions to a Tanzania itinerary. It also comes with real limits. Light aircraft into the parks usually allow about 15 kg per person in soft bags, including cameras, so a film crew may need extra seats or a private charter to carry its equipment. Game drives run early in the morning and late in the afternoon, which happens to be the best light for filming. A safari segment can be planned as part of a multi-day wedding film, or as a stand-alone concept film.

Many families pair a Zanzibar ceremony with an event on the mainland. Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city, has hotels that can host big receptions and is a short flight from the island. A Dar es Salaam wedding film covering a reception or family dinner can be woven into the same feature film as the island ceremony, so the whole week tells one story.

How Film Style Weddings plans a new destination

Film Style Weddings is a travelling production. We have filmed weddings in Mexico, the United Kingdom, India, Nigeria, Punta Cana, Jamaica and Paris, and every destination is planned the same way: a full itinerary first, venue walk-throughs by video call, a travel and permit plan, then a crew sized to the number of events. Our destination wedding film guide walks through each step, and our cinematic wedding film guide explains how we approach story, sound and light. For a beach wedding we have filmed, see Fiona + Ricky in Punta Cana.

    Starting points for your film

Every film is custom, and collections have clear starting points:

    Collection Starting point
    Destination from $50,000
    The Legacy from $75,000+
    Concept Films from $15,000

The final scope depends on the number of event days, locations, crew size and the films you want to keep. The Investment page explains how a consultation shapes your collection.

    FAQ

What is the best month for a Zanzibar destination wedding?

June to October is the most reliable dry season, with December to February a close second. Most planners avoid March to May because of the long rains.

Can we have a legal wedding in Zanzibar?

Yes, but Zanzibar has its own registry and its own document requirements, and the process can take several weeks. Many couples marry legally at home and hold their ceremony in Zanzibar. Your planner can confirm the current rules for your nationality.

Can our wedding film include drone footage in Tanzania?

It can, with permits. Drone flights need approval from the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority, applied for at least three weeks before arrival, plus extra permission for national parks.

Can you film a safari session as well as the wedding?

Yes. A safari segment can be added to a Destination collection or planned as a Concept Film. See our Destination page and Films archive for examples of our work.

Luxury Destination Wedding in India: Planning Your Wedding Film

India is one of the busiest wedding markets in the world, and much of it now happens away from home. Industry reports in 2025 estimated that about one in four weddings in India is a destination wedding, and that most of those are held within the country, in lake palaces, desert forts, beach resorts and hill stations. For families abroad, a luxury destination wedding India trip is a chance to bring relatives from several continents together for a week. For the film, it is a chance to capture settings that few places can match. This guide covers how to plan it.

What is changing in destination weddings in India

Three trends stand out for 2026.

    • Smaller lists, higher standards. Many families are trimming guest numbers and spending more on hospitality, rooms and food, so the celebration feels personal rather than crowded.
    • Longer weekends. Welcome lunches, pool parties, cocktail evenings and recovery brunches now sit alongside the main events, turning a wedding into a full itinerary.
    • Daytime and garden settings. Open lawns, courtyards and outdoor ceremonies are in demand, which brings natural light into the film and gives a softer, more editorial look.

Each of these shapes the film. A longer weekend means more filming days, and outdoor events mean planning around the sun rather than a ballroom’s lighting rig.

    Choosing the season

India’s main wedding season runs from roughly October or November to March, when the weather across most of the country is dry and comfortable. The monsoon, roughly June to September, brings heavy rain to many regions, and April to June can be very hot in the north and west. Peak-season dates at the best palace hotels often book a year or more ahead, so families who know their window should hold venues and crew early.

Popular regions and what they mean on camera

    Udaipur

Lakes, palace hotels and boat arrivals make Udaipur one of the most filmable cities in the country. An Udaipur palace wedding film usually plays on reflections, terraces and evening light over the water, and the crew needs to plan positions on boats and across the lake as well as at the venue.

    Jaipur

A Jaipur destination wedding brings pink sandstone, painted courtyards and grand forts. Jaipur has an international airport, and venues near it can sit in controlled airspace, which matters for drone plans.

    Goa and the coast

A Goa beach wedding film is lighter in tone, with ceremonies near the water, relaxed dinners and dancing late into the night. Sea breezes and surf call for careful microphone placement so vows and speeches stay clear.

Palace venues, heritage rules and drones

“Heritage” covers two different kinds of venue. Privately owned palace hotels set their own rules on sound, decor, vendors and filming, much like any luxury hotel. Protected monuments are a different matter, and private events are generally not allowed at them. Ask which kind of property you are booking before you plan any shot around it.

Drone flights in India follow national rules. The drone must be registered, the pilot certified, and the exact venue checked on the national airspace map, which marks green, yellow and red zones. Temporary restrictions can be declared at short notice, so the map is checked again close to the date, and the venue can still refuse a drone on its own grounds. In practice, a travelling crew usually works with a locally registered drone and a certified pilot.

Hiring an India destination wedding videographer from abroad

Film Style Weddings has filmed weddings in India, including Prashant + Prema’s destination wedding and Shobana + Michael’s celebration in Bangalore and Halifax. We have also filmed in Mexico, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Punta Cana, Jamaica and Paris. When families hire an India destination wedding videographer from overseas, the planning steps are the same:

    1. Share the full itinerary. Every event, venue and start time, so the crew size and filming days can be set.
    2. Walk the venues. In person or by video call, to plan camera positions, light, sound and any boat or rooftop shots.
    3. Agree the films you want to keep. A feature film, a trailer, full ceremony and speech edits, and short cuts to share.
    4. Plan the premiere. A same day edit wedding film screened at the final reception is a memorable way to close a long weekend.

For how we cover several events across a week, see our multi-day wedding film guide and our destination wedding film guide.

    Starting points for your film

Every film is custom, and collections have clear starting points:

    Collection Starting point
    The Film from $30,000
    The Production from $50,000
    The Legacy from $75,000+
    Destination from $50,000
    Concept Films from $15,000

The final scope depends on the number of event days, venues, crew size and deliverables. The Investment page explains how a consultation shapes your collection.

    FAQ

When is the best time for a destination wedding in India?

For most regions, October or November to March gives the most comfortable weather. The monsoon, roughly June to September, is usually avoided for outdoor events.

Can a wedding film crew from abroad film in India?

Yes. A travelling crew plans visas, equipment and venue permissions in advance, and usually works with a locally registered drone pilot for aerial shots.

How many days of filming does a luxury wedding in India need?

Most luxury weddings in India run over three to five days. We plan coverage event by event, so every part of the week you want in the film is filmed.

Can we add a concept film to our wedding?

Yes. Concept Films start from $15,000 and can be filmed during the same trip. See our Destination page and Films archive for examples of our work.

  • UK Luxury Wedding Films: Planning a Cinematic Wedding in Britain

UK Luxury Wedding Films: Planning a Cinematic Wedding in Britain

Britain has some of the most filmable wedding settings in the world: country houses with long drives and formal gardens, London hotels with grand ballrooms, Scottish castles, and historic chapels where the light comes in through stone windows. Couples searching for UK luxury wedding films usually want more than a record of the day. They want a film that feels as considered as the venue. This guide covers how to plan one, whether you live in Britain or are flying in from abroad.

Monica + Christian, from their wedding film

What makes a UK wedding film different

A wedding in Britain brings its own conditions, and a good film plans around them rather than hoping for the best.

    • Changeable light and weather. Bright sun can turn to soft cloud in minutes. That soft light is flattering on camera, but a crew needs an indoor plan for portraits and a way to keep sound clean if rain moves the ceremony inside.
    • Long summer evenings. In June and July, daylight lasts late into the evening, which gives time for an unhurried portrait session after dinner. In winter, darkness comes early and lighting has to be planned for the afternoon.
    • Historic venues with rules. Many country houses, churches and listed buildings limit where cameras can stand, whether drones can fly and how loud equipment can be. A luxury wedding videographer UK couples can rely on will check these rules with the venue months ahead.

Choosing a London luxury wedding videographer or a travelling crew

If your wedding is in the capital, a London luxury wedding videographer needs to plan for traffic between locations, hotel loading rules, and ballrooms where lighting can be dark or mixed. Many couples marry in one place and celebrate in another, so the schedule matters as much as the cameras.

Film Style Weddings works as a travelling production. We have filmed weddings in the United Kingdom, including Ayesha + Amir, and the same crew plans and films each wedding from first call to final edit. Our destination wedding film guide explains how travel and gear are organised.

Planning a country house wedding film

A country house wedding film often covers several spaces on one estate: getting ready in the main house, a ceremony in a chapel or garden, drinks on the lawn, and dinner in a marquee or hall. Three things help the film:

    1. A walk-through before the day. Knowing where the sun sets, where the band will play and where guests gather lets the crew place cameras without getting in the way.
    2. Clean audio for vows and speeches. Stone chapels echo and marquees pick up wind. Dedicated microphones on the officiant, the couple and the speech lectern make the difference.
    3. Time for portraits. Fifteen to twenty minutes in good light, away from guests, gives the film its quiet moments.

Building a filming timeline for a UK wedding

The best UK wedding films start with a timeline written for the camera, not just for the caterer. Share a draft with your crew a few months out, then a final version in the last fortnight. A useful timeline includes:

    • Arrival and setup times at each location, including any loading or parking limits at historic houses and London hotels.
    • Getting-ready windows for both partners, with the rooms named, so the crew can split up without missing either side.
    • Travel between locations, with time added for country lanes, city traffic and guests moving between spaces.
    • Light-based portrait slots, checked against the actual sunset time for your date, which changes by several hours between summer and winter.
    • A rain plan that names the indoor room for the ceremony, drinks and portraits, so the crew can prepare it in advance.

For couples flying in, allow a buffer day before the wedding. It gives time to rest, confirm details with the venue and, if you wish, film a quiet arrival scene that opens the story.

    Multi-day celebrations in Britain

Many luxury weddings in the UK now run over a weekend: a welcome dinner on Friday, the wedding on Saturday and a relaxed brunch on Sunday. Filming each day lets the final film follow the story from arrival to farewell. Our guide to the multi-day wedding film covers how that kind of coverage is planned.

If you want guests to see a film before the night is over, a Same Day Edit can be premiered at the reception. Read more about the same day edit wedding film.

What a UK destination wedding film includes

For couples flying in from abroad, a UK destination wedding film is usually planned as a Destination collection. Every film is custom, and collections have clear starting points:

    Collection Starting point
    The Film from $30,000
    The Production from $50,000
    The Legacy from $75,000+
    Destination from $50,000
    Same Day Edit add-on $4,500

Final scope depends on the number of event days, crew size, locations and the films you want to keep. The Investment page explains how a consultation shapes your collection.

Questions to ask before you book

    • Has the crew checked filming and drone rules with your venue?
    • Who records the audio for vows and speeches?
    • What is the plan if rain moves the ceremony indoors?
    • How long is the feature film, and are full ceremony and speech edits included?
    • Can you watch complete films, not just trailers? Our Films archive and cinematic wedding film guide are a good start.

    FAQ

How much do UK luxury wedding films cost?

At Film Style Weddings, The Film starts from $30,000 and Destination collections start from $50,000. The final figure depends on days, crew and deliverables.

Do you film weddings in the United Kingdom?

Yes. We are a travelling crew and have filmed weddings in the United Kingdom. See Destination for more of our work abroad.

When should we book a videographer for a UK wedding?

As soon as your date and venue are confirmed, so the crew can plan around venue rules and travel.

Can you film both a ceremony and a reception in different UK locations?

Yes. We plan travel time between locations into the timeline and arrange the crew so that arrivals at the second venue are covered.

What if it rains on our wedding day?

We agree an indoor plan with you and the venue in advance. Soft, overcast light often looks beautiful on film, and a prepared crew can move portraits and the ceremony inside without losing the moments that matter.
