  • Nupur + Arup – Next Day Edit

In life everything happens for a reason. And there was a reason, we started to meet Nupur 2 and a half years ago. Between then and now, we have met Nupur at almost a dozen weddings and she was an integral part for some of them. If you are a follower of our work, I am sure you have seen her in countless videos of ours. But among everything the most amazing stat is that she had to be a bridesmaid 27 times before her turn can come.

Nupur officially signed with us last year and her fiancee at the time Arup who works in New York was unable to meet us due to his busy schedule. At last when we did meet him, we realized why Nupur connected with him so well. A Cool, Calm and Composed customer.

Like any story, everything was leading up perfectly to their wedding date until Hurricane Sandy struck on the east coast. As per Nupur herself, “the pandit declared that the wedding has to happen with or without him”, naturally causing a stir. But our groom managed to arrive just a day before the festivities began.

Now that would have been challenging wedding to attend and edit for us too. Our heartfelt congratulations to the amazing Nupur and Arup. And much much thank you for allowing us to cover their special day which reunited us with 10 of our past couples.

  • Safi + Sahar – Next/Same Day Edit

In order to produce a good wedding film, it is imperative that both the groom and the bride are involved in their wedding as if it was their passion. It makes a huge difference. And folks it’s not just about us able to capture the memorable moments but it’s primarily the people in those moments. If one is quiet and the other is chirpy, it just doesn’t translate very well on the screen.

Safi + Sahar are similar to almost every one of our couple but have a unique chemistry. One loves to crack jokes and the other loves to laugh even when she is dealing with a stress situation. That doesn’t mean that they don’t take their life seriously.

Although, we had a strong sense of that when we met them but to our surprise, they were very much like that even during their wedding festivities. We wish them all the best.

  • Fiona + Ricky – Official Trailer – Part 1

It is very rare that we get last minute bookings but whenever we do, most of the time, they turn out to be an amazing experience. Having seen our work at Saif + Somi’s wedding, Ricky & Fiona immediately decided to avail our services for both their local and destination weddings.

In almost every relationship, there is always one person who is more energetic or outgoing than the other one until of course with time, they both become very similar. In this case, Ricky is the more up beat and always looking for an adventure. Fiona on the other hand is a little different but is willing to tag along with all of Ricky’s crazies ideas.

Their Toronto wedding took place in their huge backyard whilst their destination wedding took place in Punta Cana which you can watch here

Although, we try to differentiate as much as possible from our previous works, here, we tried to make this a different film from the destination wedding.

  • ‘Being Competitive’ – A Concept Film – Sajnoor + Emanjit

Our job always becomes a little bit easier when creative couples or those already in the industry approach us for their wedding related events. Hence, the case of Saj & Em. Saj is a professional photographer who runs PhotoKitch.

Saj + Em recently got engaged and organized a 700 people engagement party in a matter of weeks. And after finalizing venue and other details, they came to us 10 days before their engagement event. It’s one thing for us to book an event and another to do a little concept film within a week. We are a firm believer of anything is possible as long as resources are there but to have 10 days to come up with a concept, film it and then edit it is pushing a little. And we told that to Saj and Em but their motto was that they have do this whatever it takes.
With a very little planning and developing the concept as we filmed, it was a unique task to achieve.

  • Ekta + Abishek – Next Day Edit

    https://vimeo.com/50221199

It’s very rare to see a Bride donating her wedding dress to an organization that help a bride in need. Ekta is one of those brides. She donated her wedding dress to BridesProject.com in order to help support the fight against cancer. Kudos.

We met Ekta earlier this year. Unfortunately, we were unable to meet her fiancee who was out of town until the week before the wedding. Ekta is a very simple girl and had a simple wedding. And there is nothing wrong with that at all.

Upon our initial meeting, we hit off really well with her and stressed to her the need of meeting Abishek, her fiancee. We always prefer to meet the couple as a couple way in advance as it helps us derive ideas and get to know them better. As I said, we couldn’t meet with Abishek in advance but that didn’t really matter. Because within 5 minutes of our first meeting, we got along really well and understood each other very quickly.

Ekta and Abishek have a very strong chemistry and you will see that in our Next Day Edit.

  • Amit + Priya – Official Trailer – Reception

We met Priya almost 3 years ago at her brother’s Shawn and his wife Sapna’s concept film back in 2009. Incidentally, that was the first time Amit met Priya as well. Small world.

We have known Priya for 3 years now and between now and then have met her at countless weddings. She is a shy, down to earth and simple girl who expects nothing from life but is always willing to give. As for Amit, we began seeing him at various weddings as well as time progressed. He is full of life, fun and quite opposite from Priya. Not that opposite but enough for them to be 100% compatible with each other.

Our most challenging task is to get to know the couple as a couple after they sign up with us. In this case, it was a little different. We already knew Priya very well but it was Amit who we grew to learn about in the past year. And believe it or not that’s always challenging. It’s easy to get to know two people and their tastes towards life, each other a lot faster but somehow very difficult when you already know one person and you have to get to know the other person separately. But we did and it was an experience getting to know him. He is one of those guys who is always looking to be better at what they do.

The wedding festivities kicked off few days before the grande ceremony itself. Both families are so full of warmth that we blended as their own. From the heroic entrance of the groom to the beautiful bride, everything about this wedding was perfect. The people, the decor, the chemistry all clicked.

  • Shano + Tanya – NDE / SDE / Concept – ‘Let’s Talk Wedding Day’

The first time we met Shano was exactly 3 years ago. We were prepping for his friends Shawn + Sapna Music Video (Main Aur Mrs. Verma). As part of their bridal party, he committed himself and his time to the project. Not to mention, he was also the MC at their wedding as well. Over the years, we met Shano at countless number of weddings and yes he was the MC at their wedding as well. That’s what happens, when you speak well.

And Tanya came into picture a little later. Of course at that time, there was no set wedding date but both Shano + Tanya made it clear to us that eventually when they get married, they will be availing our services. We won’t lie, it’s always nice to hear that

So about a year ago, they came to us formally and went over their wedding details. One thing Shano and Tanya told us from the beginning is that they wanted to do a concept film but something simple, that reflects their personality. And as you know that’s always our goal.

Both Shano + Tanya are very articulate individuals and we wanted to highlight that by making it a fun yet simple film. Hence we came up with a concept called ‘Let’s Talk Wedding Day’. The idea here was to get them to talk about their upcoming wedding and then integrate it with their Same Day Edit.

Everyone does wonder how their wedding day will unfold, so we thought, wouldn’t it be great to see if the wedding day turns out the way they perceive it before hand.

  • Farrah + Saed – Next Day Edit – Featuring ‘Classic Bollywood 70s’ Music

We film about 15-17 weddings every year and we meet couples who are obviously in love. Some express their love to each other with pride while other are more private.

When it comes to groom to be, rarely we have met anyone who is as expressive as Saed. He is literary one of those guys won’t feel awkward expressing his love for his wife in front of his male friends. A true lover.

And for Farah she is one of the most down to earth girls, we have ever met. She is a smart, intellectual and most of all very loving to people around her.

As a couple, they have such strong energy that just attracts everyone around them.

Now, we had to make sure that we produce a Next Day Edit by keeping all of the above in mind. The question was to make something that spots on tell their personalities. And to do so, we took a huge and I am hoping a successful risk.

To my knowledge, there hasn’t been a contemporary wedding film featuring classic 70s Bollywood Music. And those who listen to 70s Bollywood music, know that it was one of the most romantic era of Bollywood songs. The music, the poetry and the singers are rarely found these days.

And how does that connects to Farrah and Saed? Pure simple. Saed’s unconditional and expressive love for his wife is expressed via this beautiful song and lyrics.

  • Jesleen + Jihad – Same Day Edit

Now that you have seen Jesleen + Jihad’s Concept Music Video, we move forward to their wedding day.

The ceremony and reception were held at Graydon Hall Manor & Royal Ambassador respectively. The former was an outdoor event on one of the most hottest days of the summer. But the cool breeze from the trees, a bit of a shade and the world’s shortest Sikh ceremony (19 minutes) helped everyone make it through. It was an intimate ceremony with under 80 guests which made our job a little easier The reception however, was a bigger event with roughly 350 odd guests.

Our day began earlier in the morning with getting ready coverage followed by ceremony and same day reception. Due to a long drive from one venue to another, we only had 4 hours to put together this Same Day Edit. Along included here few pre-wedding ceremonies that took place at the bride’s house.

Our entire business model is based on word of mouth. And it’s always nice to hear that a couple saw our films somewhere online or someone’s house or simply at the wedding.

Jesleen and Jihad’s case is no different. Having seen our work at another wedding 2 years back, they came to us 18 months ago to inquire about August 25th, 2012 weekend. That took us a lot of time to get to know them as a couple.

    Technical Details

  • Concept Music Video ‘Babe, Marriage?’

    https://vimeo.com/48779723

Our entire business model is based on word of mouth. And it’s always nice to hear that a couple saw our films somewhere online or someone’s house or simply at the wedding.

Jesleen and Jihad’s case is no different. Having seen our work at another wedding 2 years back, they came to us 18 months ago to inquire about August 25th, 2012 weekend. As always, we discussed their wedding and also an idea for a concept film. We didn’t really have anything concrete in mind but after few meetings, they presented us an idea of doing a dance music video on one of their favourite songs ‘Let’s Get Married’ by Jagged Edge.

We took that idea and incorporated their interests like sky diving, rollerblading as well as a mix of Arabic, Chinese and Indian cultures.

We will let the concept music video do the rest of the talking.

  • Saj + Jessica Next/Same Day Edit

Do Quirky and Calm go together? If you disagree, you may want to change your mind after watching Saj + Jessica in this Next/Same Day Edit.

If you haven’t already seen their film “Meeting at Pizza Hut”, please do so before watching this by going over here. There is certainly a connection at the end of that film and beginning of this.

This is probably the 5th wedding we have done this year where the bride lets the groom run the show. Since grooms are not used to dealing with wedding details, they normally end up going overboard. In other words, Groomzilla Nothing wrong with that, in fact, we welcome that. We end up working with those couples who are both more or less heavily involved in their wedding instead of just one. Otherwise, there is no fun.

Saj + Jessica were definitely a pleasure to work with. As I mentioned, Saj is a very quirky type of a guy. He has a certain way of saying things that end up being humorous. Whereas Jessica is a quiet but very particular about what she wants. Their wedding had many unique factors but one that stood out was that they got married at Toronto’s International Centre, which to our knowledge has never held a wedding before.

  • ‘Meeting at Pizza Hut’ – Saj + Jessica’s Story

Every couple’s story is unique. We have worked with couples who have met on a plane, elevator, online and of course the ever popular through families. And we do our best to tell their stories based on couple’s personalities.

Saj + Jessica’s story is unlike any other. They met at Pizza Hut. As simple as it sounds, it was challenging for us to come up with a concept for them. But sometimes simplicity is the best option. We had the couple tell their story and act out most of the part, except the proposal. That was real and Jessica didn’t have a clue about it until wedding reception when she saw this film.

To add to that, the couple also wanted to make grand entrance for their reception. Something that hasn’t been done before and that they did. We integrated both their story and entrance in one film.
