    Ever so often, amidst all of the sparkling and glamorous modernity of South Asian wedding trends, a comfortingly refreshing pause can be found in a return to the classics. Be it in vintage style, timeless music or a taste for tradition, it can safely be declared that there is no substitute for the simple, feel-good joys of days past.

    Suman and Neeraj sought to recreate this with their wedding, blending old ways with new, in their honest, creative, and loving style. True fans of Bollywood, they searched for just the right music and imagery to convey the significance of the happy-endings all Bollywood heroes and heroines deserve. With Neeraj’s sharp looks and impressive style, and Suman’s playful eyes and infectious laugh…you would almost think they were right out of a Bollywood romance themselves.

    Their Sangeet was an absolute visual delight; a nostalgic treat for guests with fun poster features set up by the ever- unique Dream Party Decor. Neeraj’s sister (whose wedding four years ago, we also captured) along with the help of an enthusiastic group of family and friends, had a fantastic performance lined up for her brother and sister in law to be.

    As with any wedding, Bollywood or not, love has its moments of pure magic. During the ceremony, the kiss Suman firmly but poignantly places on her father’s hand as he clasps the hands of his daughter and new son, says it all- at the heart of every wedding, no matter the time, place or people, is the greater strength of the families it has forged as one.

  • SIMRANJIT + AMIT – “HANDSOME MOUTH” WEDDING – NEXT / SAME DAY EDIT

    This week we have another dazzling wed-scape in store for you, courtesy of the terrific Simran and Amit. Simran may in fact, be a most familiar face to some of you, as she holds previous titles of Miss India Canada Worldwide 2004, ranked among the Top 15 Miss India Worldwide 2005, was Miss India Canada 2006, in the Top 10 Miss Universe Canada 2006 and was the 1st Runner Up for Miss World Canada 2007.

    True to her elegant style, from the unique details in the couple’s design and decor to the vast use of color and ornateness in their location choices and wardrobe- they fused modern elements and the riches of tradition in ways that you won’t want to miss!

    This beautiful and gorgeous wedding was coming together of two cultures. Punjabis & Gujaratis. Both celebrated each other’s traditions in the form of Bhangra & Garba at the Sangeet & Ceremony respectively. The outdoor ceremony was held at the beautiful Palais Royale. Guests were treated to beautiful lake views as they witnessed the couple tying the knot. The Grand Reception was held at the elegant Universal Event Space.

    Having said that, the most prominent element of this wedding were the people. The family, friends and not to mention the colourful Bridal Party. They all brought certain vibrance to this breathtaking wedding.

    As part of our tradition, we welcome to you to witness some of our amazing couples between the year 2013-2016. 3 months in the making, this 6 minute piece took us lots of planning, resources and story boarding. In the end, it was very difficult to leave out some other amazing moments and clips but here is the best of the best.

  • Roli + Amit – Next / Same Day Edit

    Roli and Amit’s wedding will be remembered long after the bridal trousseau is finally packed away and the last of the Thank You cards are mailed out. It was just THAT kind of wedding.

    Loads of fun from start to finish; a swank entrance in a ferrari by the groom, the catchy, groovin moves’ of a vibrant bridal party and the heartfelt emotion that swept the room as the bride made her way down the aisle- there were all kinds of ooh and ahh moments that left guests crying, laughing and begging for more.

    Weddings we often hear, are supposed to be about the bride and groom. It is, after all, a time for them to look their finest as they celebrate their nuptials in a style signature to them, surrounded by those they love the most. Roly and Amit are clearly two individuals who have their friends and family rooting for them,  just as much as they are rooting for each other. This was especially evident in how emotionally invested their relatives and friends appeared at each event. On top of that, their guests arrived dressed to the nines and ready to party- everyone was going to part of the merrymaking.

    Moments of endearing poignance, mischievous fun and joyful celebration were the perfect undertones to carefully planned, and stunningly arranged backdrops and decor.

    At the heart of a roaring good time, it was noticeable that a peaceful awe and sense of ceremony would surface ever so often. As history would have it, a good balance is always key to a healthy, successful marriage. What a way to start one! Congrats to Roli and Amit!
