  • Omar + Maham – Wedding Film – Elegant Garden Wedding

The best things about a wedding is that the most unexpected and beautiful memories take place. Sometimes it can be a surprise performance put on by family members or a touching speech. Omar and Maham’s wedding was no exception since their wedding was filled with such moments. From a surprise performance by the groom’s father to the bride and groom’s ‘Kala Chashma’ entrance, it was truly a magical wedding for Omar and Maham.

Maham was a radiant bride and her outfits were exquisite for all three events. She knew what style would work for each day and wanted to ensure that the outfits complimented Omar’s outfit perfectly.

We are truly blessed to work with couples who are passionate about their vision and proud to work with such a couple. They had strived to great lengths to ensure that their Mehndi, Nikkah and Walima were truly intimate and rustic events.

As you can see, they put a lot of thought into the event space, guest list and overall look of each event. The mehndi took place at Terrace on the Green with an outside gazebo space. It was a nostalgic treat for all the guest with colourful decor and a blanket of stars fora truly unique event. The nikkah took place at the groom’s parents house with a DIY outdoor decor setup that was done with the help of Omar’s family. The Walima took place at the Shaw Centre with the backdrop of the Ottawa Skyline.

We wish Omar and Maham a hearty congratulations and all best as they start a new chapter in their lives.

  • SIMER + RAVIN – NEXT DAY EDIT

This next-day edit is perhaps among the best examples we have of what happens when a bride and groom’s chief desire for themselves and their guests, is to quite simply, have fun.

Simer and Ravin were about as cool, collected and as “Torontonian” as it gets when it came to coordinating wedding details. They were artful in their vision, unafraid of being minimalist at times and of course, it was important to them to find creative ways of showcasing their love of the city. We won’t spoil it by telling you how!

The intimacy of their guest list added to the loving particularity of their wedding events. Despite a smaller crowd, it was a highly energetic, vibrantly-hued affair with resounding laughter, head-turning dance moves and entertaining interaction- comprising the backdrop of sheer fun that so befittingly complemented the personalities of the bride and groom. A spin on the traditional baraat ceremony with groomsmen pulling up in a line of muscle cars to the gurdawara, bespoke bridal wear and a memorably lively photoshoot, Simer and Ravin were able to create an impression that was not only true to their style but to their original purpose- a classy, good time.

    Congrats to the newly weds!

  • Sachin + Anu – Next Day Edit

When you are in a business where friends can evolve into family, and work is as a result, absolute fun- couples like Anu and Sachin become the benchmark of professional experience- wonderful, good-hearted, loving people whose special moments are a privilege to capture.

For us, it is not uncommon for us to cover multiple couples’ weddings in a family. In this particular tightly knit network of family and friends, Anu and Sachin are close to the tenth couple whose union we have captured. Look closely, and you may even notice a few of our specially placed cameos of familiar lovebirds and now, their little ones!

This bride and groom are part of a circle of individuals who love as fully as they live. The couple’s wedding events resonated with this very abundance of spirit.

The decor was classy, tasteful and full of delicate florals and color- a great job as always by one of Toronto’s top decor savants, Raj Matharu of Dream Party Decor.

From the Mehndi to Reception, laughter filled the air. The Sangeet featured some beautifully heartfelt performances by friends and relatives, a true way to pay homage to the sweet couple. Anu’s entrance was especially emotional, and the groom was all eyes (and a few tears), as his bride made her way to him. In this business, it is often the groom’s reaction that is worth a thousand words. It was a moment that neither Anu or Sachin will quickly forget.

What a great way to launch the wedding season, and always a pleasure when the couples are not just clients, but great friends. Be sure to stay tuned as well for our Slow Motion Booth Video from their reception coming out this Saturday April 23rd at 8 am right here.

  • Bhavi + Nina – Next/ Same Day Edit

In affairs such as weddings, while it is much easier said than done, things are likely to go a great deal smoother if there is a general sense of calm about the place. (This can also greatly add to your value as a bridesmaid or groomsman if you manage to do this for your highly anxious bride and/or groom- rack up those brownie points and make it count that they chose you!)

Such was the case with Bhavi and Nina’s wedding weekend, inclusive of pre-wedding events and finally two completely different ceremonies, all in the same day. It helps of course, that our bride and groom were completely trusting in the entire process and confident that they were surrounded by the best quality of family, friends and vendors to share in and contribute to their big day.

The wedding was a combination of Sikh and Hindu traditions and with a lot of careful and thoughtful coordinating, each ceremony took place at its respective temple in one day. The functions were intimate, respectfully planned and equally solemn- a noteworthy tribute to who Bhavi and Nina are as individuals and the kind of balanced union upon which they have embarked.

Not only did this couple know to expect the best from their day, but they knew how to travel in high style as well. A shiny white Maybach was their impressive method of travel for the day, and truth be told/ the first day of the rest of their lives, never looked better.

  • Roli + Amit – Next / Same Day Edit

Roli and Amit’s wedding will be remembered long after the bridal trousseau is finally packed away and the last of the Thank You cards are mailed out. It was just THAT kind of wedding.

Loads of fun from start to finish; a swank entrance in a ferrari by the groom, the catchy, groovin moves’ of a vibrant bridal party and the heartfelt emotion that swept the room as the bride made her way down the aisle- there were all kinds of ooh and ahh moments that left guests crying, laughing and begging for more.

Weddings we often hear, are supposed to be about the bride and groom. It is, after all, a time for them to look their finest as they celebrate their nuptials in a style signature to them, surrounded by those they love the most. Roly and Amit are clearly two individuals who have their friends and family rooting for them,  just as much as they are rooting for each other. This was especially evident in how emotionally invested their relatives and friends appeared at each event. On top of that, their guests arrived dressed to the nines and ready to party- everyone was going to part of the merrymaking.

Moments of endearing poignance, mischievous fun and joyful celebration were the perfect undertones to carefully planned, and stunningly arranged backdrops and decor.

At the heart of a roaring good time, it was noticeable that a peaceful awe and sense of ceremony would surface ever so often. As history would have it, a good balance is always key to a healthy, successful marriage. What a way to start one! Congrats to Roli and Amit!
