  • Omar + Maham – Wedding Film – Elegant Garden Wedding

The best things about a wedding is that the most unexpected and beautiful memories take place. Sometimes it can be a surprise performance put on by family members or a touching speech. Omar and Maham’s wedding was no exception since their wedding was filled with such moments. From a surprise performance by the groom’s father to the bride and groom’s ‘Kala Chashma’ entrance, it was truly a magical wedding for Omar and Maham.

Maham was a radiant bride and her outfits were exquisite for all three events. She knew what style would work for each day and wanted to ensure that the outfits complimented Omar’s outfit perfectly.

We are truly blessed to work with couples who are passionate about their vision and proud to work with such a couple. They had strived to great lengths to ensure that their Mehndi, Nikkah and Walima were truly intimate and rustic events.

As you can see, they put a lot of thought into the event space, guest list and overall look of each event. The mehndi took place at Terrace on the Green with an outside gazebo space. It was a nostalgic treat for all the guest with colourful decor and a blanket of stars fora truly unique event. The nikkah took place at the groom’s parents house with a DIY outdoor decor setup that was done with the help of Omar’s family. The Walima took place at the Shaw Centre with the backdrop of the Ottawa Skyline.

We wish Omar and Maham a hearty congratulations and all best as they start a new chapter in their lives.

  • Suman + Neeraj – Next Day Edit – Featuring ‘Tujhe Dekha to Yeh Jana Sanam’

    Suman & Neeraj

Ever so often, amidst all of the sparkling and glamorous modernity of South Asian wedding trends, a comfortingly refreshing pause can be found in a return to the classics. Be it in vintage style, timeless music or a taste for tradition, it can safely be declared that there is no substitute for the simple, feel-good joys of days past.

Suman and Neeraj sought to recreate this with their wedding, blending old ways with new, in their honest, creative, and loving style. True fans of Bollywood, they searched for just the right music and imagery to convey the significance of the happy-endings all Bollywood heroes and heroines deserve. With Neeraj’s sharp looks and impressive style, and Suman’s playful eyes and infectious laugh…you would almost think they were right out of a Bollywood romance themselves.

Their Sangeet was an absolute visual delight; a nostalgic treat for guests with fun poster features set up by the ever- unique Dream Party Decor. Neeraj’s sister (whose wedding four years ago, we also captured) along with the help of an enthusiastic group of family and friends, had a fantastic performance lined up for her brother and sister in law to be.

As with any wedding, Bollywood or not, love has its moments of pure magic. During the ceremony, the kiss Suman firmly but poignantly places on her father’s hand as he clasps the hands of his daughter and new son, says it all- at the heart of every wedding, no matter the time, place or people, is the greater strength of the families it has forged as one.

Congratulations to our newlyweds and their families on a beautiful union!

  • Samantha + Roger – Glamorous Wedding – Next / Same Day Edit

As promised, we have a tantalizingly stylish visual treat in store for you this week. Samantha and Roger’s glamorous wedding weekend is oozing with creative details that will have you planning, pinning and pining (for your own big day) before you know it.

From the moment we started working with this couple, we knew they would have an unforgettable series of events. Full of ideas and the desire to add their own personal touch to even the most minute of details, they took painstaking care to ensure impeccable execution of their vision.

Samantha and Roger took an imaginative, modern and bold approach to their wedding style, taking rein of much of the decor and outfit design. Their pre-wedding functions were primarily DIY undertakings, and this was a meaningful way to infuse their personalities into the collective experience of all present.

Dream Party Decor, as always, rose majestically to the occasion with a richly colorful Sangeet tent, a delicate mandap complementing the green outdoors at the Manor by Peter and Paul’s and a jaw-droppingly sumptuous reception design at the Hilton Suites on Warden.

Together, this couple also took to the drawing board to conceptualize a custom, unique and bespoke array of bridal outfits whose fabrication they entrusted to the likes of Sabyasachi and Archana Rao.

Taking pride in their hard work and the jovial sense of competition they share between one another, Samantha and Roger exceeded their own expectations for their wedding as they worked collaboratively to bring their fairy tale to life. True to their pact, this dynamic couple plans to continue in the same spirit of teamwork as they launch their own State Farm Agency. (Talk about #couplegoals)

A hearty congratulations and best of luck to the newly weds!

Come back next week to see something really special and unique from their Reception

  • Anisha + Kushal – ‎An Indian Fiesta‬ – Destination Mexico

Those of us who are fortunate (crossing fingers) enough to be familiar with big- fat- Indian weddings, know that even destination weddings can turn out to be an elaborate affair. Typically, anywhere between 70-100 guests at a destination wedding can start to feel a little large. This one was An Indian Fiesta. Our adventurous bride and groom, Kushal and Anisha, had 170 guests fly in from all over the world to romantic Cancun, Mexico where they had their wedding at the dreamy, adults-only, Le Blanc Spa Resort.

While a planner is an invaluable resource in these types of scenarios, Kushal and Anisha, despite having to coordinate from afar, were completely involved in the planning process with the wedding planner. From the catering, to florals and off-site itineraries – they took just as much interest to ensure impeccable service and a most memorable weekend for their dear ones.

The group’s mood was buoyant and playful. Warm sunshine, powdery-soft sands and turquoise waters in their welcoming abundance, only added to the constant fun and laughter of the weekend. The choice of a pool party for the guests was a refreshing and creative take on standard pre-wedding activities. Not to mention, it was a visual feast of exotic colors and flavors that left other resort guests drooling at the majesty which is indian wedding tradition. Among many things, one of our favourites was the bride’s choice in Proteas Bouquet for her Wedding.

To this bride and groom, wedding film was extremely important and they wanted us to capture their special days in a story driven manner. We proceeded to take the exciting narrative of that weekend and incorporated some unique visual and sound elements that would help to illustrate the storybook feel of their fairy tale that came to life. Against a backdrop of crashing waves, under clear, open skies, and in the environs of a most unconditional love, we have the privilege of presenting to you- the spirited union of Kushal and Anisha.

  • MAHI VE- Thank You 2013-2015 Couples // Welcome 2016 Couples

As part of our tradition, we welcome to you to witness some of our amazing couples between the year 2013-2016. 3 months in the making, this 6 minute piece took us lots of planning, resources and story boarding. In the end, it was very difficult to leave out some other amazing moments and clips but here is the best of the best.

  • Sachin + Anu – Next Day Edit

When you are in a business where friends can evolve into family, and work is as a result, absolute fun- couples like Anu and Sachin become the benchmark of professional experience- wonderful, good-hearted, loving people whose special moments are a privilege to capture.

For us, it is not uncommon for us to cover multiple couples’ weddings in a family. In this particular tightly knit network of family and friends, Anu and Sachin are close to the tenth couple whose union we have captured. Look closely, and you may even notice a few of our specially placed cameos of familiar lovebirds and now, their little ones!

This bride and groom are part of a circle of individuals who love as fully as they live. The couple’s wedding events resonated with this very abundance of spirit.

The decor was classy, tasteful and full of delicate florals and color- a great job as always by one of Toronto’s top decor savants, Raj Matharu of Dream Party Decor.

From the Mehndi to Reception, laughter filled the air. The Sangeet featured some beautifully heartfelt performances by friends and relatives, a true way to pay homage to the sweet couple. Anu’s entrance was especially emotional, and the groom was all eyes (and a few tears), as his bride made her way to him. In this business, it is often the groom’s reaction that is worth a thousand words. It was a moment that neither Anu or Sachin will quickly forget.

What a great way to launch the wedding season, and always a pleasure when the couples are not just clients, but great friends. Be sure to stay tuned as well for our Slow Motion Booth Video from their reception coming out this Saturday April 23rd at 8 am right here.

  • Rohit + Angelee – Luxurious Wedding – Next / Same Day Edit

One of the most exquisite and elegant weddings of 2015 took place during the blistering heat of August. Rohit + Angelee’s wedding festivities were full of mesmerizing colors, majestic set ups and unforgettable moments.

From the breathtaking performances of Angelee’s sisters at Sangeet to the crazy groomsmen at the Baraat, every event unfolded with it’s own beauty.

The events were a constant visual feast for each and every guest. The jewelry, the outfits, the stationery and favors composed of deep jewel tones pervaded many of the feature accents in this wedding.

That being said, details alone do not complete a wedding. There were plenty of all the other ingredients that make up this list: lots of music, dancing, delicious food and most importantly love. As plainly as it is seen in this Next/Same Day Edit, Rohit & Angelee were married in regal style, surrounded by the love of their family and friends.

And to top it all, they hired some of the best Creative Masters for their wedding who delivered beyond expectations.

  • Aseem + Hargunn – Wedding Film

Aseem and Hargunn’s wedding was an example of how a couple can bring their families together in celebration of their life most important event.

Things kicked off a day before with a Sangeet with some beautiful decor from Elegance Decor. They crafted a stage that reflected that of couple’s personality and created beautiful mini lounges for guests to sit and mingle at. The Sangeet was fun filled event with a striking entrance by the bride Hargunn. Aseem on the other did what a true gentleman would do. He made sure that he got out of the comfort of his seat and stage and greeted his bride to be. A very sweet touch and guests loved that. To top it all there were some breath taking skits and performances by families and friends on both sides.

The bride and groom had helpfully complementary personalities. Throughout the entire wedding process, Hargunn was calm and collected while Aseem was brimming with energy, enthusiasm and a little bit of stress:) And that’s because he made sure that not a single shred of it fell on Hargunn’s lap.

Aside from the fact that there were many phenomenal elements to their wedding, not to mention, the beautiful ceremony and elegant reception. Normally Ceremonies start in the morning with reception taking away most part of the evening. In this case, things ran a little different which was nice for a change. The ceremony commenced in the evening as the reception ran way past midnight. Regardless of that every guest was attentive and involved in every step of the way.

Truly deserving of marital happiness and success, we wish Aseem & Hargunn much joy and a continued sense of adventure as they journey through life together.

  • Simran + Mani – Next/Same Day Edit

Every bride wants her wedding to be uniquely special and memorable. There wee weddings that stand out because of their breathtaking decor, while others are for a delicious menu and then there are those weddings that are just specialbecause of the love shared between the couple and their families.

Simran + Mani’s wedding was memorable because it so beautifully encompassed each of these components, if not more.

One thing that stood out the most was Simran’s breathtaking outfits for each of her event. From her engagement to sangeet followed by ceremony and two receptions, each of her outfit was different. She pretty much wowed all present. Her desire to do something creative was demonstrated at every event.

Ultimately, what made Simran + Mani stand out as a couple was their strength of confidence and attention to detail, as this Next / Same Day edit illustrates. Mani’s calm, collected demeanor is the perfect balance to Simran’s bubbly personality. In our opinion, this couple had an ideal harmony of elements to make their wedding definitely worth remembering.

  • Vikas + Shikha – Next / Same Day Edit

Vikas and Shikha had one of those timeless, feel-good weddings with all of the right ingredients to make it a classic; colorful details, planned surprises and sweeping amounts of love were the focal points of their events.

Both the bride and groom come from a tightly woven circle of family and friends and their participation in the couple’s wedding was a testament to how special they are to them. The bride’s sisters played an important role in the organization of each function, so a note to all of the prospective brides out there- believe it or not, you don’t have to do it ALL by yourself for it to be perfect. Sometimes, as in Shikha’s experience, your loved ones know you best.

Vikas too, is fortunate to be surrounded by a group who dotes on him. His groomsmen were constantly by his side, ensuring all went smoothly under their careful watch. From setting the tone for Vikas’ debonair entrance in a Lamborghini to their knack for cracking jokes to punctuate those rare but golden moments of pre-wedding jitters. That nervousness did not last for long however. Take one look at the adoring gaze Vikas captures his bride in as she makes her way down the aisle toward him- these are the moments that make our job so much more worth it.

It was a pleasure working with this terrific couple and their loving family and we wish them all of the best as they progress into the next exciting chapter of their lives together. Our cameras are ready when you are!
