Rather late but finally here. Shane & Anjali got married on August 2nd with 3 days of events preceding it. The event consists of Mehndi, Sangeet, Chodda Rasam, Ceremony & Reception. Every event had it’s own unique. While Mehndi and Sangeet were more fun oriented events, ceremony and chodda rasam were more of traditional and emotional events.
You have seen them doing ‘Jai Ho’ (over here), now watch them doing ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’. Emily + Ali marriage festivities began on August 7th, 2009 with the mehndi event followed by August 8th at the Mosque and then actual reception on August 9th. Emily and Ali both flew from Calgary almost a week and a half before the wedding and during this time they had to get a lot done, not to mention engagement shoot with us.
Each day was different where Emily wore 3 different dresses. The colors ranged from pink to maroon and to light blue. On the other hand, Ali wore traditional Shirwani and had a time of his life.
In regards to music, normally, we pick the song before we even go filming but in this case it was a challenge for some reason to come up with something unique. But in the end we picked up beat and an extremely popular song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’. We feel it worked. You tell us what you think.
Without further due, here is the 4 minute highlight covering all 3 days.
This past weekend, our cinematography & photography team were at Ella’s and Wojtek small wedding at Old Mill and it was certainly one of the most cost weddings we have ever been to. With the couple’s parents sitting by their side on the head table and about 50-70 people, it was mostly for family and close friends.
As we are working on photos and video from their beautiful day, we would like to share with you their love story which was shown this past saturday.
Evy is literary one of the most positive person, we have ever met. No matter what it was, engagement shoot, love story or any other time we communicated via email or phone, she has been nothing but excited and positive about her day.
This past weekend on August 22nd, we were the lead cinematographer and 2nd set of photographer (from early morning to early evening) on her and Richard Wedding. As we continue to edit the Teaser Trailer, we would like to present you with some of the pictures we took throughout the day as well as a full fledge wedding slideshow
Although, we have done various interracial weddings but to have a couple like Emily & Ali’s is very rare. Chinese & Indian. Both originally from Toronto, now working in Calgary came to Toronto just for the wedding and an engagement shoot 4 days before the big day.
When Aisha & I ran the idea of traditional Indian & Chinese clothing, Emily welcomed it with open warms and the results, you can see for yourself.
We had a blast working with them on their engagement shoot despite continuous rain interruptions with only 2 hours being utilized in filming and taking photographs out of the 4 allotted hours. Because of that we scheduled another 1.5 hours slot the following day at Osgood Hall to offer a nice contrast.
As you may have noticed, we have a brand new logo hovering on our blog page and facebook page. At the moment, we are in the process of redesigning our website which is why until then this blog is your source for all of our work.
Our new website will be launching at most by next Month. Stay tuned and feel free to e-mail us your comments, questions and thoughts. Thanks
Evy + Richard, a very bubbly and energetic couple are getting married on August 22nd, 2009. They met us back early in the year for our cinematography package. As much as we are looking forward to their special day, we would like to share their love story with you. Brief, Simple yet satisfying.
On March 21st, we were lucky enough to cover the beautiful wedding of Stephanie and Rocco at Liberty Grande, Toronto. Not only both were so much fun to work with but also they were so a very relaxed couple. The event started with a Tea Ceremony followed by Church Ceremony, Receiving Line and eventually Reception. The hall was beautifully decorated and I don’t think the video does justice to the decor.
We also had a pleasure to work with Lisa Mark Photography who posted the photographs from the wedding last week.
Also, come back tomorrow for a special contest for all brides to be.
We would like to welcome everyone to ‘Film Style Weddings’ blog. This blog was started after brides (married and to be married) requested to see our on going work. We didn’t mind the suggestion and simply took the opportunity to show our work off (yes we like to show off too:) ; just a bit though)
Here you will find the most up to date information on our existing, past and upcoming projects including wedding trailers, slideshows and much more.
